Best 2010 Pontiac Vibe Trailer Wiring Options

Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Pontiac Vibe, we're going to be taking a look at the best custom fit vehicle wiring. Here we have the two best wiring options for your Vibe. Here on this side we're going to have the Curt, part number C56035, and over here we're going to have the Tekonsha, part number 118460.With the Curt, you're going to have 3 amps per circuit for your stop and turn and 6 amps for your taillight, whereas your Tekonsha, you're only going to have 2.1 amps per circuit for your stop and turn and 4.2 amps for your taillights. Because you have to run your power wire through a grommet in the back, your Curt kit is going to come with some black silicone, whereas your Tekonsha is not going to have that. Now your Tereshkova modular box is going to built a little bit better. It has a potting in here that's going to hold your wires in place, and that potting is completely filling the inside of this box. What that does, is if this box was ever to come loose inside the vehicle, the potting that's inside is going to help protect the wires and keep them from disconnecting. Both wiring harnesses are going to install exactly the same. more

Unlock and pull up the rear spare tire area. Pull our wire out, close down the top . you can lock and secure everything if you want at this point . and this weather seal is going to be strong enough and thick enough that your wire won't get split when it comes down over the top. Now we'll go ahead and hook up our tester and test out our lights. All right, first thing we'll do is pull the cover off and then we'll hook up our ground to the ground side. Then we're going to test out that brown wire, which will be our running lights. We'll have that constant signal turn off. Now we'll test out the left-side turn signal, which will be the yellow and the passenger-side which will be the green wire. Now, we'll go ahead and check our brake lights which will be both the green and the yellow constant. Our wiring looks good, so we'll go ahead and put our cover on and stow it away in the back of the vehicle. First thing we're going to do is open up the back compartment to gain access to our tail-light assemblies. more
